In the last lessons we talked about identity that each person has. We started doing our self-portrait and the portrait of classmate of ours. We could notice that everybody had some difficulty to draw himself and the others, especially in the representation of “defect” and peculiarity of physical look of everyone. Then we visited Archaeological Museum of Piombino, where we could observe different artistic typology (where some people were represented), and where we could notice some somatic similarity between a ancient noun and a modern one: so we can understand that physical look of people isn’t notably changed during the years. We also observed some slides that it represents different kinds of portrait, and there stood out a lot of different styles.
The Comenius Project 2009/2010 of the Language School L.B. Alberti treats about every man’s Identity. For doing that we visited the Archaeological Museum of Piombino where we saw some Etruscan human representation. The following week we had a lesson about everyone’s portraits we focused on physical features to know better the physical details more common. In the last lesson we focused on Identity’s studies of the past e we can estabilish as the physical portrait could have repercussions in the caracterial aspect.
Our studies started with the visit to the archaeological Etruscan museum of Piombino that shows us our ancientest origins . afterwards we tried to do a self-portrait and a classmate’s portrait. It was useful in order to understand how we see ourself and how the other people sees us!! In the last lessons we examined some types of portrait: from the child’s simple portrait to the history most importantest painters’ portrait !
Our studies started with the visit to the archaeological Etruscan museum of Piombino that SHOWED us our MOST ANCIENT origins . afterwards we tried to do a self-portrait and a classmate’s portrait. If you think of History as story telling, you might enjoy it more. Think of how whatever you are studying has left its mark on today. That might make it more interesting. What are you studying at the moment?
Yuri, in reference to the sentence: In the last lessons we examined some KINDS of portrait: from child’s simple portrait to the history MOST IMPORTANT painters’ portrait!"
In order not to change it much, I think it would be better to write: "In the last lesson we examined some different styles of portraits: from a child's simple one, to some of our greatest painters' works of art."
I think that your translation is better than your Italian work that is terrible ( maybe I don't know English so well )! You, for revenge, could correct my terrible English!!! Prof. Torresi
to Mrs. Torresi: were u talking to me or to mrs. O?
to Mrs. O: yes your corrections sound better! anyway, we are studying "Monarchie Nazionali" and "Comuni"...I don't know how to write it in english, and I don't feel like search it XD
Ok, I don't feel like looking it up either, but I would assume it would be, National Monarchies and city governments or something like that. It should be pretty interesting considering the history of Europe!
I'll let Mrs. Torresi answer you, although I certainly understand who she's talking about!
corrections for Jack_Morphine, Raffa and Yle: 1. aN ancient 2. We also observed some slides that ("it" it's wrong) represent (no "s") different kinds of portrait, and there stood out a lot of different styles. I didn't find any other mistakes
