Time to Comment and Information Needed

It's time to Express yourself:
  • What do you think about your partner's letters?
  • What mistakes have you noticed in the letters?
  • Do you look forward to receiving his or her letters?
  • Are you reading them? Do you answer their questions?
  • Remember that it's good netiquette to answer the emails you receive.
  • What do you think about the email project?
  • Why are so few of you answering #36 of the questionnaire?
Click on comments to make yourself heard. Take the poll (under the logo).

NB If you don't know the full name of your student or his/her age and sex, it's time you find out. The December 18th posting has research information, but you might have to ask your partner's last name or age. I need this information by JANUARY 15.
You can write the information in the comments below or send it to me by email at our comenius4kids@yahoo.com address.

Notes and My Hobbies Email

Dear Students,
If you used the spelling check, you would have fewer errors. You also need to watch your format. Always begin each sentence with a CAPITAL letter and I must be capitalized, too.
What do you think about the emails you've received? Are you reading them? What errors have you found?
Many of you haven't written your My School email, which was due on Monday morning.
Most of you did not correct the errors I highlighted. Now it's time to work on your 4th email.

Try these exercises to see some of your common mistakes.

Your MY HOME email should be ready by this time, so all you need to do is write the name of your partner after "Dear" and add it to the subject line: My Home from Marco to Markus.

If you remember to do a spelling check, you will all have fewer mistakes. You should reopen your letters and correct what you can so I can send them. The Turks are waiting.

If your partner has asked any questions, be sure to respond to those in the email about your home.

This time you must include your partner's name on the subject line of the email. For example: From Federico to Selva.
ALWAYS FOLLOW the instructions! DO a spelling check and have someone else read your email.

NB If you still haven't finished the second email, DO IT TODAY! All the necessary information is in last week's posting.
Ideas for beginning your email:
Thanks for writing!
It was good hearing from you.

I was happy to get your email.
I enjoyed reading your email.
It was nice to meet you!
If you have things in common, respond to that. After your introduction, you can continue with something like: Now I'm going to write about my house.

Email 2: MY HOME

In this letter you will describe your home and the area in which you live.
From now on, you can add informal information and ask questions at the end of each letter. You can write about things which have recently happened at school or in your personal life.

You should not ask the same questions you answered in the theme because your partners use the same models. Remember that we have 10 emails to write so a lot of subjects will be touched.
REMEMBER! Always answer your partner's questions and respond to the extra information you received in the previous email.
You can add images, photos or scanned drawings to your email if you like. Click on the title, "My Home" to start.
