What makes up your identity? Do you agree with what was said? Do you have any different ideas?

I think that our identity is a mix of teaching, values and ideas given by parents, teachers and friends but also by our country and social class where we live. However we have something who belog only to us. dai yuriiii I don't manage(?) ufff ahah
I agree with fulvia!!!!!! We will never be like our parents because we are, and also will be, influenced by the world that border us: not only people like friends or our family, but also by television, internet etc...We will always have something that will differentiate me from the rest of the world!!!!!
Andrea, take a look at what you've written. It's a bit contradictory. So, you will NEVER be like your parents? You say they influence you. Reread your last sentence. hmmm Who is the "we" you are referring to?
it's not contradictory because if I'm influenced I can have something like the person who influences me, but if I'm like an other person would mean to be the same person, and this isn't possible!!!! maybe I explained my theory not really well (maybe neither this second one), but it's difficult to explain it in english...
Do you mean: Even though your parents, society and other factors influence you, you will always have your own personality? That two people will never be the same?
That could be debatable. I know some very independent-minded people whose parents' "influence" didn't seem to make much difference on how they behaved.

That might be true. Think of it this way. When YOU are a parent, YOU will be influencing YOUR children, and possibly a lot of other youngsters!
